My Client is seeking an experienced Manager with a strong Technical and Quality Assurance background to join their team.  The ideal Candidate will have at least 3 year's experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of working to high standards.

You will be joining a friendly and relaxed team working for a International company who have gained BRC Grade AA * status and who pride themselves on their “hands on, working together” ethos.

The role is evolving and whilst Quality Assurance Management is fundamental to the position, my client is looking for candidates who have a broad skillset - knowledge of artwork, packaging, auditing etc.  This is an ideal opportunity to make the role your own and to fully support the Technical Manager.  For the right candidate there will be future career opportunities within the company as succession planning is key

The role will involve:

·Reporting to the Site Technical Manager and managing a team of QA's you will manage the site quality assurance systems and processes to ensure that factory operation complies with all relevant site standards and food legislation and achieves the required levels of service and product quality.
·To ensure that quality management systems, operating practices and process controls are developed, implemented and adhered to by
·Ensure all non-conformances whether they be site, from audits, customer or microbiological are being dealt with in given time frames
·Management of Hygiene staff
·Coordinate and monitor laboratory testing
·Deal with non-conformances/customer complaints utilising the team within given time frames

Experience / Skills Required:
You will also need HACCP knowledge and have conducted site audits, strong knowledge of food safety, food legislation and effectively managed teams.

The right candidate for the Site Quality Assurance manager role will have a strong food manufacturing background having worked in a management / Supervisory role as either a Quality manager, QA manager, Technical Services Manager, Assistant Technical Manager or a Quality Systems Manager

£32 – 36,000 DOE + Benefits
