As the Process Development Assistant your role will be to support the wider process team, ensuring that new and existing recipes are taken from approval through to launch. Working closely with the internal teams you will assist with launching products on time and to the highest standards. This is a demanding role in a fast moving environment where key responsibilities will include ordering new raw materials and packaging from suppliers for factory trials, ensuring all new raw materials and packaging delivered onto site are checked against and comply with the suppliers specification standards, preparing products for nutritional testing, coordinating shelf life/micro testing samples and paperwork, preparing photographic standards for the customer and production, coordinating customer samples plus undertaking general administrative duties.
To be considered for the Process Development Assistant job, you will be educated to a degree level in a food science discipline and/or have previous experience of working in a technical or NPD function from within food manufacturing. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of food manufacturing processes and development from concept approval through to launch. To succeed, you will be highly motivated, have excellent problem solving skills together with a good knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The Process Development Assistant job is based in East Midlands region and is paying £16,000 - £18,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.
