Exciting opportunity for an experience Engineering professional with an electrical bias.

My client is a leading bakery business based in Hampshire. Reporting into the Engineering Manager your role will be to lead and develop the site maintenance team which runs 24 hours per day, five days. Co-ordinate the preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns and to work in partnership with the Operations and Support teams to ensure that all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently and to the standard required by the Company.

  • Organise the shift rota, ensure every shift is covered, which may include personally covering shifts during times of absence
  • Develop a team who proactively engage production associates to foster Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain and manage supply of spares
  • Manage the planned maintenance system
  • Respond to breakdowns and formulate repair plans
  • As part of the operations team, manage the day-to-day business function
  • Play an active role in daily operations meetings
  • Actively champion Health & Safety to ensure a safe working environment

Hours - 9am - 5pm

There may be occasions where you will be required to cover the following shifts during times of team's absence:

Weeks 1&2: Monday - Friday (6am - 2.30pm)
Weeks 3&4: Monday - Friday (9am - 5.30pm)
Weeks 5&6: Sunday - Thursday (2pm - 10.30pm)
Weeks 7&8: Sunday - Thursday (10pm - 6.30am)

Time is to be taken back in lieu in agreement with the Line Manager.

My client is looking for someone who has

  • Knowledge of maintenance acquired within Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Training completed in Electrical Mechanical Engineering with an 80-20 electro/mech split as a minimum
  • Experience of food industry standards (preferable)
