This is an opportunity for you to take the helm of a fresh produce warehouse and show your potential and dedication to the smooth running of a business. You'll be working alongside a great team of people in the rapidly changing environment of the FMCG industry and motivating and managing them to ensure that the business and customer's requirements are consistently satisfied in full.

The Role

As Intake and Despatch Team Leader you'll have full control of the warehouse and its functions. This includes overseeing all products, staff and haulage within the warehouse operation including storage and various applications of the warehouse.
Make sure you've got enough staff for the workload 24/7 and that you can meet the company targets.
Create and develop KPI's in accordance with Lean processes making sure the business and customer's requirements are satisfied in full.
Manage on site materials handling equipment and coordinate with the support of the section leaders to ensure that all of the equipment is checked by all staff every day in accordance with legislation and internal policies.
Supervise and understand the daily requirements of transport out and deadline requirements dictated by the supermarkets and hauliers.
This job will require you to complete employee appraisals, invoices, liaise with senior management and to consistently provide outstanding warehousing function.

The Candidate

To be a great Intake and Despatch Team Leader you will need some previous experience in the fresh produce industry in a similar working environment.
You must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
You'll have excellent planning and organisational skills as well as outstanding communication skills.
You will have already managed a team of people and proven to be a great leader.
This job requires intermediate to advanced MS applications and WMS experience.
