The job

This is a microbiology focused QA Technologist role where your primary responsibility will be to ensure positive release of products based on microbiology and chemistry results. Typical duties will include dealing with non-conformances, collection of and booking in laboratory samples, ensure that raw materials for the site are released in a timely manner, ensure that customers receive certificates of analysis which are accurate, carrying out GMP audits, assisting in the investigation of customer complaints, calibration checks and the preparation of reports.

Your experience

You will possess a BSc or a BTEC / HNC in a food science related subject or equivalent plus possess experience of microbiology.  You should have good analytical thinking skills, the ability to prioritise, good IT literacy, attention to detail and be able to work in a logical and methodical manner. Other qualifications including auditing, HACCP and Food Hygiene are all highly desirable.

More details

The QA Technologist role is based in the West Midlands / North West region and is paying c. £20,000, according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours will be a weekly rotation of 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm, however there will also be some occasional overtime including late finishes and weekends.
