Our client is a very progressive, successful and very well regarded food supply company. They have experienced outstanding (profitable) growth over the past few years and want to continue to grow. They supply a range of retail, wholesale and foodservice clients and have asked us to help them recruit an experienced Sales Director to help the company achieve its ambitions.

The job

We are, first and foremost looking for an excellent, experienced and very successful sales professional with outstanding communication and negotiation skills and REAL commercial savvy.

You will need to be an inspirational leader who loves working with people and watching them grow and flourish in their jobs. You will have experience of managing a team of sales people but will also need to be an outstanding salesperson in your own right.

The future sales strategy will be your responsibility as well as the day to day commercial team management and you will be very involved in the overall activities of the company working with the MD and the other directors.

You will also be down to earth and will be responsible for driving new business development of both existing customer accounts, new clients and other business opportunities. You will be able to work at a high strategic level but also be hands on with key client account management as well.
