Supplying the major retailers with an extensive range of innovative products, this major manufacturer is looking for an NPD Technologist to join their growing team.

The Role

This is a broad role covering all aspects of NPD from concept to launch where you’ll be developing recipes in line with the customer briefs and emerging food trends whilst ensuring new product ranges are ‘factory friendly’. You’ll work with Development Chefs to produce concept samples as well as organising information and preparing market data for prestigious retail presentations, impressing them with your food knowledge and leaving them wanting more.

A key aspect of your role will involve preparing technical specifications and packaging information to ensure launch timetables are met, working with internal teams to approve artwork sign off. You’ll also arrange and conduct factory trials, shelf life tests and sensory panels, maintaining and communicating the status of projects to management teams and contributing to the successful launch of market leading products.

The Person

Suit a vivacious and driven NPD Technologist with a food related qualification and experience in the food manufacturing industry, ideally within the chilled sector. With your understanding of NPD and technical processes you’ll be at ease developing products from concept to launch where you can really hone your project management and presentation skills. You’ll also need to have great team working and communication skills as you’ll be liaising closely with customers and internal colleagues at all levels.
