Graduate Technical Assistant
This leading importer of speciality foods works in partnership with multiple customers to bring hundreds of delicious and premium products to consumers across the UK. They are now seeking a budding Technical graduate ready to take their first step into a rewarding career in the food industry.
In this key graduate role you’ll report to the Technical Director and be given the chance to learn about and contribute to the smooth running of the technical department and manufacturing processes. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Assisting in ensuring all products manufactured are safe, legal and of the specified quality through maintaining Quality Management systems, ensuring information is up to date whilst producing and monitoring KPIs.
· Liaising with all business functions to ensure compliance with the latest BRC standards, supporting food safety processes from goods in to despatch as well as working with NPD to successfully deliver products into the factory.
· Co-ordinating and assisting with third party and customer visits and actively taking part in supplier and internal audits, ensuring due diligence across the site and guaranteeing customer expectations and specifications are met.
· Liaising with customers on all Technical requests, responding to queries in a timely manner as well as investigating complaints to prevent future risk and drive continuous improvement projects across the business.
Suit a Food Science or Technology graduate looking to kick-start their technical career and expand their skills. You may have previously worked in a similar technical support role within the food industry where you have gained excellent analytical skills along with a keen eye for detail. You must have excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills as you’ll be handling multiple projects and liaising with colleagues and customers at all business levels. You’ll also need to be proactive and able to use your own initiative, thinking outside the box to consistently reach and exceed high standards.
