If you want to work for a small family-owned company, then this job probably isn't for you. We're looking for someone to get involved in one of the big boys in the fresh produce industry as a Category Marketing Manager. Working for a big company has its perks, if you do something embarrassing at the Christmas party it won't spread so fast and the canteen usually has more to offer.

The Role

You will be accountable for the collation, analysis, reporting and presentation of all external market data for the business while delivering market leading understanding of market intelligence, interpretation and inspiring innovation.
You will investigate like a spy both qualitative and quantitative data that is pertinent to the category, tasks and projects.
You will manage the retail prices including promotional and photographic databases.
You will assist the Head of Business Development and Marketing in delivering business strategies and development projects.
Using your creative side and experience you will 'think out of the box' and develop new ideas to market the brand commercially.

The Candidate

You'll be experienced in B2B and B2C marketing plan development, negotiation and delivery.
Have a great degree that's related (i.e. not Viking Studies, sorry Vikings.)
Have experience of working for one of the top grocery retailers to show that you understand the market.
A retailer minded attitude, not to be mistaken for 'constantly thinking about shopping.'
Capable of determining business needs through initiative and excellent communication.
A confident and well-presented individual.
Highly motivated to further your career.
