A dynamic, fast paced and growing company, our client supplies major retailers, fast food outlets and restaurants with a range of pre-prepared fresh produce ranging from salads to fruit. Passionate about their industry and the people who work for them, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Foodservice Account Manager, reporting directly to The Sales Director.

You will need to have self confidence, tenacity, proven negotiation skills and a great personality to build relationships, both internal and external, whilst taking responsibility for their key foodservice customer accounts. You MUST have previous Account Management experience in a manufacturing or fresh produce environment to apply.

Job Purpose:

As a member of the Growth Team, your main role will be to support the delivery of a customer strategy that increases category growth and market share whilst increasing profitability.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key customer contacts
  • Identify and leverage end to end efficiencies for the Customer and liaise with supply chain to deliver
  • Maintain a high level of industry and competitor knowledge
  • Be the internal voice of the Customer
  • Commercialising the category opportunity and implementing with the Customer
  • Networking within the wider Customer base to unlock all business opportunities

  • Working cross-functionally with other growth team members develop category and revenue opportunities

Person Specification: 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong effective relationships
  • Ability to positively influence
  • Experience in data analysis and making informed recommendations
  • Ability to work without close supervision and under pressure

Knowledge, Skill & Experience: 

  • Account Management experience in a manufacturing/fresh produce environment
  • Commercial acumen
  • Project management experience
  • An understanding of forecasting and planning
  • An understanding of fresh food categories

Required experience: 

Imperative; Account Management - food manufacturing or fresh produce: 1 year

Required licence or certification: Full
