We are currently recruiting for 3 x Quality Assurance Auditors to join our team at Manton Wood. In the role of QA Auditor the key focus will be to verify that raw material preparation, manufacturing production and product storage comply with food safety and quality standards.

We have 3 roles available on Nights - the shift patterns below are fixed

Wednesday to Saturday (4 X 10 HOUR SHIFTS) PAY RATE £10.91 per hour following successful completion of a 12 week training period paid at £7.67 per hour

Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (4 x 10 HOUR SHIFTS) PAY RATE £10.91 per hour following successful completion of a 12 week training period paid at £7.67 per hour

Thursday to Sunday (4 x 12 hour shifts) PAY RATE £10.91 per hour following successful completion of a 12 week training period paid at £7.67 per hour

  • Monitoring quality on line and completing quality assessments
  • Completing metal detection checks and barcode verification checks
  • Checking the legibility on packaging and printing.
  • Monitoring and recording factory temperatures
  • Raising non-conformances for ingredients that do not comply to the raw material specification
  • Completing documentation to a high standard
  • Completing hand and environment swabs
  • Checking of blades and recording findings.
  • Take part in trials with the process dept
  • Micro sampling
  • Verification checks


Educated to GCSE or equivalent, you'll be computer literate and have some understanding of basic food safety. Previous experience of working within a similar role within food manufacturing would be required whilst qualifications within Food Hygiene and health and safety would be extremely beneficial.

You will enjoy working as part of a team environment, have good communication skills, strong attention to detail and sound organisation skills.
