The Company

This international supplier of innovative food ingredients is a global leader in its sector, working in partnership with manufacturing customers to bring new ranges into the marketplace. They are now seeking a proactive Quality Supervisor to help manage their internal auditing systems and uphold their high quality standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will contribute to the smooth running of the department and be responsible for:

  • Assuring the safety and quality of all products through the effective implementation of company policies and customer specifications.
  • Managing a small team in the co-ordination of audits to ensure all raw materials adhere to company and legal requirements including HACCP.
  • Ensuring all documentation regarding complaints and non-conformances is accurate and up to date, applying any corrective actions to drive continuous improvements for products and quality management systems.
  • Using your understanding of manufacturing processes to organise production trials and taste panels to ensure successful launches and the continued growth of this progressive business.

The Candidate

We are looking for a food science, chemistry or quality management graduate who has developed their technical and quality assurance knowledge within a chilled food manufacturing environment. Previous experience of managing a small team and assessing raw materials is essential as you’ll be instrumental in keeping the company’s high quality standards. In addition you’ll have conducted audits and implemented systems to improve product quality in accordance with HACCP and BRC requirements. You will have an excellent understanding of ISO9001 / FSSC22000 principles and will be keen to take on new responsibilities and step up when required.
