Part of a large specialist food group, this market leading business has been established for over 40 years and is dedicated to producing and supplying high quality and unique products to nearly every UK major retailer.
Being recognised as the product expert, you will be required to work closely with the technical and commercial teams to make recommendations on product management and usage. By contributing towards quality and seasonal decisions, you will ensure that premium standards are maintained throughout the entire process. With guidance from the Account Technical Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management, mentoring and motivation of the QA team in order to develop product knowledge and expertise within this niche fresh produce category. With an element of customer facing involvement, you will also be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the existing strong relationships. The maintenance of agreed standards of service and quality to prevent rejections and managing the implementation of improvements are essential elements of this role.
We are seeking a committed, positive individual who has previous experience working in a quality assurance / control role from a fresh produce background. We are ideally looking for somebody who has proven management experience within a similar role and you’ll need a keen eye for detail as you’ll be trained to spot product issues to ensure that only perfect stock reaches customers’ stores. You will be highly organised and possess good IT skills in Excel and Word, also due to the site location, a full UK valid driving licence is also essential.
The Product Controller job is based in the Lincolnshire / East Anglia region and is paying up to £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday (43.5 hours per week).
