As Technical Manager, the purpose of your role is to provide professional, effective and efficient control of the technical and QA function, to ensure compliance with BRC Standard and Customer Codes of Practice (COPs) including integrity and agent standards plus to work with key suppliers to ensure their compliance with relevant COPs; this is very much a customer / supplier facing role where you will be the key technical point of contact. You will ensure the company complies with all relevant technical requirements, manage the supplier base including supplier auditing, manage the timely and accurate completion of technical tasks within NPD process including retailer specifications and artwork and working closely with the QA Manager, review internal systems with regards to effectiveness and efficiency. This role also presents the opportunity for both domestic and international travel on a regular basis.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual who can demonstrate a strong technical track record in the food manufacturing industry with at least 2 years experience in a similar Technical Manager role or equivalent. You will have customer facing experience and possess excellent working knowledge of BRC standards, quality management systems and auditing; holder of Lead Auditor qualification is highly desirable. You will also be educated to a HND/degree level in a food science or similar discipline. Other essentials are a full UK valid driving licence and the flexibility to travel on a regular basis.
The Technical Manager’s job is based in the South East region and is paying a highly competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
