An FMCG food division of a global manufacturing company is now seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end to end supply chain operations at 2 of their manufacturing sites (Shropshire and West Midlands area).

With overall responsibility for a team of 13; the successful Supply Chain Manager will act as a strategic pillar and interface between Sales, Operations, Procurement and Finance to drive, lead and develop all aspects of the Supply Chain function and will also have responsibility for building and maintaining key relationships with 3PL providers.

The successful Supply Chain Manager will have a minimum of 5 years supply chain management / planning experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment. You will have proven man management experience and exceptional MRP and ERP systems knowledge.

Key responsibilities of the successful Supply Chain Manager include:

- Capacity planning
- Development and leadership of the direct teams through regular performance reviews and formal PDR process
- Reviewing of sales forecast to production capacity to meet current, incremental or new product demands and establish costs Regular planning reviews with manufacturing and daily monitoring of attainment through the daily operations meeting
- Challenging anomalies in the sales demand with the account teams
- Regular performance review meetings with 3rd party warehouse / hauliers
- Management of the delivery note query process and challenging discrepancies
- Resource planning with departments to meet changes in business activity of volumes
- Scenario modelling to establish operational and financial impact of potential at budget, forecast or of ad hoc commercial op operational business changes
- Resolution of issues - people process and systems
- As part of the Operations team play a role in leading the development of the overall Operations/Supply Chain improvement programme, through contribution to performance improvement initiatives and development of the operational process
- Seek improvement in all aspects of the supply chain
- Lead and coach to effective problem solving groups using problem solving techniques
