This established, premium wholesale business supplies a variety of branded products across multiple categories to a broad network of foodservice and food manufacturing customers. They are now seeking a dedicated Technical Assistant who can support the delivery of exceptional quality so that they can continue to provide amazing products in line with their core values.
In this essential role you’ll support the Technical Manager through ensuring customer and legal requirements are met across the entire product range.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that all technical documentation and specifications are completed accurately and that all products are produced in accordance with food manufacturing legislation.
- Monitoring company databases and quality management systems as well as liaising with suppliers to identify and resolve non-conformances promptly and efficiently.
- Working closely with internal teams and suppliers to guarantee all processes from production to launch and distribution run smoothly and in compliance with HACCP and BRC standards.
- Being the main point of contact for any technical enquiries for internal teams as well as customers, advising the business on the latest food laws and statutory requirements whilst managing customer queries and minimising complaints.
Suit a Food Science or Technology graduate looking to enhance their technical career and expand their skills. You’ll have previous experience of working within a similar technical support role within the food industry where you have gained excellent analytical skills along with a keen eye for detail. Knowledge of the latest food legislation is essential and you must have excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills as you’ll be handling projects and liaising with colleagues at all business levels. You’ll also need to be proactive and able to use your own initiative, thinking outside the box to consistently reach and exceed high technical standards.
