Greencore's Food to Go business in the UK is one of the world's leading manufacturers of pre-packed sandwiches, producing in excess of 500m food to go products each year.

We produce all types of sandwiches, wraps, rolls, sub-rolls, flatbreads, baguettes, bagels, prepared salads and sushi for major supermarket and high street chains, petrol forecourts and convenience stores. These are predominantly sold under our customers' brands.

We have six Food to Go facilities in the UK with a direct to store distribution network, operating out of 16 depots, covering the length and breadth of Britain.

Based at our Hatfield depot, the Transport Supervisor will assist the Transport Manager to achieve the required depot performance by leading the transport team during operational hours. This position is working full time nights Sunday to Thursday.

What would you be responsible for?

Your main objective will be to comply with all Company policies and the attainment of the required depot performance criteria and cost control through the effective planning, organisation, direction and control of all the transport personnel. This will be coupled into the HHT/System 21 and ISOTRAK technology being used at the depot to manage KPI's.

You will work with the other shift supervisors to support the Transports Manager's efforts to ensure an efficient and professional level of service is provided to all customers within the agreed delivery schedules.

You will assist Depot Transport Manager in recruitment and selection of staff following appropriate HR procedure whilst supporting the training and development of all transport personnel.

So who are we looking for?

The role holder must be self-motivated and highly professional with a fair, consistent and diplomatic approach.

You must have the ability to work unsupervised, using their own initiative and determined in driving improvement.

You will have experience working in a fast paced distribution/ logistics environment supervising a team of drivers.

Food industry experience and a CPC is desirable but not essential.
