PepsiCo Launches New Graduate Scheme

Pitching process

The ideal entrants will be graduates who are interested in food marketing or new product development roles in the future, like the opportunities on offer here. Their task is to create a new, unique food or drink product – or to take an existing PepsiCo product and develop it in a new direction. They will then need to pitch this product to PepsiCo leaders, as well as explaining how they would intend to take it to market.

WorldThis will be a test of innovation and market savvy, as well as the ability to pitch an idea in a way that people can believe in. Candidates will be drawn from a wide range of countries and then will compete head to head, including locations such as the UK, the Netherlands, Serbia, Poland, Spain, France, Belgium, and Turkey.

Becky Taylor is the Senior Director of Digital for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa at Pepsi-Co. She said: “The Dare To Do More challenge is an exciting platform for graduates to not only put forward their own business proposals, but also kick-start their career by joining our PepsiCo Go graduate programmes. We’re in our third year of running a graduate challenge and, as a result, we’re expecting the competition and ideas to be the boldest yet. If you think you’ve got the next big idea in food and drink and want to work in an exciting and vibrant company, we want to hear from you.”

Interesting process

InterviewThe process will be a long one for those who are chosen, with a twelve-week schedule laid out to help narrow down the choices. The candidates who are skilled enough to reach the final stage of the initiative will be given the opportunity to travel to New York and attend an interview with senior officials. There, they will have the chance to land themselves a spot on the graduate programmes available throughout Europe with PepsiCo’s various offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates looking to boost their careers and get started at a higher level than others will have the chance to do. For those who aren’t interested in the programme, but would rather jump straight into the world of work, we have a range of graduate jobs here.

Tim Warner, the Vice President of Insights and Analytics for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa and Global Innovation Insights Practice, said: “Successful graduates who join our PepsiCo Go programme will be front and centre of making critical decisions that will shape our brands, building innovation, advertising and go-to market strategies. At PepsiCo, we’re always on the lookout for the best talent and the Dare To Do More challenge is the perfect way to identify the brightest, entrepreneurial graduate minds.”

Applicants are asked to read through the material provided and submit their entries through the Dare To Do More programme website. StopwatchThe clock is ticking, as there is only a finite amount of time before selections will be made! For those who are set to graduate in future years, there is plenty of hope that the programme will continue to run in the future, with more candidates being brought onto the graduate schemes on a regular basis. There may also be more rare opportunities to apply for a place directly with the team, for those who show true talent.
