The International Supply Centre is building a world class Planning organisation based on standardised processes and ways of working with an aim to become the most trusted and respected CPG. This role will play an essential part in this.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS OFFERED AS A SIX MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Purpose of the Role
Based at our site in Leven, the Material Scheduler will ensure we always have materials available in line with our production plans for the site. This individual will ensure dry goods components are available at appropriate production areas and they will ensure that they are in line with production plan, taking into account storage capacity constraints and vehicle unloading capacity constraints. Within this capacity, they will arrange timed deliveries of components into site in line with Store Areas unloading matrices whilst making sure Stores Teams know what is coming in and when.
Equally, they will monitor component demand vs stock for imminent weeks 1-3 planning and they will ensure demand does not move into fixed production plan if stock is not available. This individual will also develop an understanding of Brand Change activity – component rundowns/ introduction of new components. This role will have some financial responsibilities including monitoring the cost of storage and stock.
To be considered for this role, you will be/have;
- IT literate –ideally with experience of mainframe material management systems, Microsoft packages and internet applications
- Demonstratable numerical proficiency with a keen attention to detail
- Real organisational skills
- Ideally similar experience in an FMCG or production environment
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge a range of stakeholders whilst forging real professional relationships.
