Job Title: - Assistant Quality Manager                                            

Reporting to: - Technical and Quality Manager

Purpose/scope of the job: - To assist the Technical and Quality Manager in the day-to-day running of the Technical Department, to liaise with and support other departments ensuring that all Technical & Quality matters are dealt with in an efficient and meaningful manner.

Tasks                                                  

  • Responsible for recording customer complaints and rejections, and for investigations, including root cause, corrective and preventive actions, customer response, trend analysis and improvement leading to reduction in complaint levels
  • Updating and maintaining supplier assurance system, including monitoring and improving quality of incoming materials
  • Internal and supplier auditing
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Provide Quality and Food Safety system maintenance including routine administration of controlled documentation, development of new and established procedures
  • Assist with relevant staff training and maintaining the training matrix
  • Assist with external visits and audits
  • Assist with routine calibration and QA checks
  • Regular Factory Hygiene and Fabric audits, including swab analysis and follow up
  • To assist with any other relevant and reasonable duties as and when required
  • Cover for the Technical and Quality Manager in the event of absence.
