Process Development Manager

What you'll be doing
As a Process Development Manager you will be responsible for the develoing new concepts / prototypes and for the planning, preparation and successful execution of process development for the future. You will carry out line trials to deliver customer requirements and process improvements. You will explore current and new supply base supported by the relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME). Also ensure the output of all line trials are fully documented with adherence to food safety, quality standards and customer requirements are met. Ensure that a safe working environment exists for employees and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the SHE Policy
You will present new products and upgrades to your manager in a professional manner demonstrating your food and process knowledge and expertise. Source and verify the feasibility of new raw ingredients within Greencore specifications and approved suppliers. You will also contribute to idea generation within the team to maximise competitor advantage
What you'll need
You will have a degree in Food Science or related subject, alongside previous experience of working within food manufacturing. You'll have strong communication and influencing skills and be comfortable in dealing with a wide range of people at all levels.
You'll have strong organisational skills alongside the ability to manage multiple tasks, always focusing on delivering results against tight deadlines.
With expertise in interpretation of customer code of practice, you'll have the ability to evaluate and interpret shelf life results. Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and a variety of retailer web based systems is required alongside a good level of general computer literacy. You will be expected to travel as part of this role.
