SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the EMEA Consumer Operations Director, the Stefanowo Plant Director role is directly responsible for the overall supply of commercial products at the right quality, right time and at the right conversion cost. All must be in compliance with the Group and legal/country specific food safety, health and safety and environmental regulations. The position also relates to people management and satisfaction, including the prevention of work disruptions that would affect national / international customer service and directly responsible for work safety in all sites.
Responsible for Leading and Developing the Stefanowo Plant, the candidate must have the potential to grow and take more by designing and implementing a 3 years roadmap for his scope in line with EMEA Supply Chain strategy in terms of People, Safety, Sustainability, Quality, Costs, Continuous improvement.
The role covers the largest expanding McCormick site of EMEA of around 450 employees and will directly supervise a team of 6 including two Production managers, Facility and Maintenance Manager, CI and Site Development Manager, Warehouse Manager, Performance Manager. The position also has dotted lines reports into the role which include Quality Manager, Finance Manager, Human Resource Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Manager, HSE Manager
Operating Responsibilities will involve building relationships with marketing, engineering, commercial, outside of the factory to understand business challenges and needs. Leading, coaching and coordinating multiple departments to achieve clear operational and project goals. Implementing the infrastructure 3 year plan for the factory and leading Employee representative meetings.
Additionally the Plant Director will lead a behavioural safety agenda in the site, review and validate the annual budget for his area, drovide support and effective business partnering to commercial units in all aspects of change, launches, innovations and service improvements as required, identify and quantify cost-improvement projects across the manufacturing plants, ensure that CI is fully embedded 3 years plan of the factory in order to regularly optimize the cost of the facilities amongst other responsibilities
- Master of science or MBA level in food technology, engineering, sciences or Supply chain Logistics.
- Demonstrable experience in food manufacturing operations 5 years’ experience in international FMCG companies.
- Project planning skills, has demonstrated success of supply chain and major change management projects; plant construction, SAP implementation, acquisition etc.
- TPM experience.
- At ease to navigate in matrix organization.
- Experience of budget management, negotiation of third party contracts, management of local officials and country regulatory / permit authorities.
- Worked on cross functional projects / Supply chain / engineering, tract record of successful team working.
- Experience of working in Central & Eastern Europe.
- Demonstrable Leadership skills in managing large work groups, both unionised and non-unionised.
- Fluent Polish and English. Russian is a plus.
