We are looking for a professional, personable and creative Agronomist to join the country's finest fruit production and marketing group. This specialist fruit company prides itself on the quality crops it produces and so would like to hire an Agronomist to promote agronomic best practice throughout the business.

The Job

Working in this agronomy role, you would regularly visit your growers' farms, carefully planning each season and analysing the overall quality of the crops.
You would advise growers on matters such as crop husbandry, production planning, labour profiling and irrigation scheduling.
Other recommendations you would make as an Agronomist include fertilisation, fertigation, and how to manage different pests and diseases.
You would also look at issues such as performance and produce benchmarking, pest and disease monitoring and environmental management.
As Agronomist, you would also be recommending and introducing beneficial new varieties to growers.

The Candidate

We would like to hear from you if you enjoy liaising with clients, you have excellent communication skills and you are passionate about fresh produce.
You will need to be able to identify the need and issues of fruit crops and subsequently recommend suitable and successful solutions.
As Agronomist, you will be working with our client's Agronomic and Grower team, so it is important that you can work with a variety of employees across different professional, operational and cultural boundaries.
FACTS & BASIS would be preferable but not essential if you have other relevant qualifications, however a UK driving licence is vital.

If the above sounds like something you would be interested in then please submit your application or email your details to edina@morepeople.co.uk.
