A position has arisen for a Junior Technical Information Officer working for a dynamic food business which manufactures innovative, high end products. They work with their customers to develop an innovative, great tasting food product range and have a great reputation for supply of retailer brand and work very closely with leading retail multiples and food manufacturers.

The job

When it comes to product safety and stability, the company depend on the dedication and knowledge of their Junior Technical Information Officers and talented Technical team. They have an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented and driven individual who is meticulous and eager to make food special.

You will report into the Technical Manager and work with a select number of small B2B accounts, ensuring product specifications and relevant technical documentation including QAS are created and updated. Working with other departments to make sure critical paths are adhered to, you will ensure analysis such as nutritional and shelf life testing is complete and meets specifications, complaints are investigated, root cause analysis completed and artwork is approved in line with legislation.

Your experience

To be considered for the Junior Technical Information Officer, you will be able to demonstrate a basic technical understanding of raw material and finished product specifications plus fundamental understanding of UK/EU food law and legislation. You will also be a degree holder in a food science / technology discipline. To succeed, you will be methodical, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.

The Junior Technical Information Officer job is based in the Home Counties / South Central region and is paying a competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including discretionary bonus, life assurance, childcare vouchers, pension scheme, access to healthcare cash plan and 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing with years of service.
