We are looking for a Growing Manager to join a highly successful family run business that is based in the South of England. Spread over a number of production sites, our client grows and packs soft fruit, supplying into the UK's major retailers. Due to continued growth, our client is now looking for a Growing Manager to be responsible for all aspects of agronomy within the business.

The Job

As Growing Manager, you will work alongside the Farm Managers to plan and develop the growing systems already in place.
You will also provide the team around you with technical insight in relation to new investments, opportunities and risks with the aim of improving performance, increasing yields and improving the overall quality of the fruit.

The Candidate

We are looking for a Growing Manager that is able to operate effectively in a high volume soft fruit operation and has sound knowledge of successful growing techniques. This means that you need to have experience in working with a commercial soft fruit company, a qualification in horticulture/agriculture and ideally be FACTS/BASIS qualified.
It is essential that you hold a clean UK driving licence and have excellent management skills.
You will also ideally have experience in using software such as 'Muddy Boots' and matrix management.
You must be able to be flexible on working hours, have a high attention to detail and have a genuine passion for horticulture.
