If you're an Agronomist that has the ability and passion to develop the overall growing system of a farm, then read on. We're looking for an Agronomist to work over in Spain to take a more scientific or technical approach to crop production. With a talented and capable growing team in place, we are looking for you to develop the scientific side of growing with a view to increase the farm's technical sophistication.

All of the crops are grown outside with both organic and conventional crops on site.

The farm is 500 Ha+ and is based in the picturesque and sunny South of Spain. You'll be near the coast, with a great community around you so there is plenty to do on your days off.

The Role

You'll be responsible for all agronomy and technical issues relating to brassica crops from drilling to harvest.
Participate in regular crop walking.
Provide accurate agronomic advice and decisions.
Manage all irrigation scheduling, implementation and maintenance, providing ideas for areas of improvement and development.
You'll work with different seed houses and pick the best possible varieties.
Use your scientific knowledge and experience to increase yields, pick out the best varieties of crop and make the whole farm more technically sophisticated.
Increase overall efficiency of the farm using scientific information on offer.

The Candidate

You'll have your BASIS qualifications.
Previous experience in a technically biased Agronomy position.
Experience working with fresh produce.
