Interim Supply Chain Manager, West Yorkshire
Interim Supply Chain Manager needed to help further improve company systems and procedures, 3 to 6 month contract. Must have Food or FMCG experience.
Interim Supply Chain Manager (Planning and Logistics Manager) with experience of materials management required for this food manufacturing business. This role will be a three to six month assignment, ideal for someone with good solid supply chain expertise, front-end through to dispatch.
The extra resource is required in this role to further improve the systems and procedures in place, particularly around S&OP (the forecasting element) and in the latter stages of the logistics process in dispatch. It is a mix of analysis focusing on how to improve the current systems and being close to the team to understand the current issues and pinch points. Once those and been identified and the improvement plan is mapped out, there will be the need for coaching and educating to ensure a legacy remains after the assignment. As with all these roles proven relevant achieves will be needed.
Along with the above a strong background in food manufacturing is essential. FMCG candidates may be considered but the preferred applicant will have worked in the food industry supplying the major UK food retailers. Understanding the dynamics of the supply chain process and the speed of this environment, that can change so rapidly, is vital.
