A leading FMCG manufacturer is currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead, develop and motivate a manufacturing site. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a long term business strategy by developing and delivering improvement plans in a high speed, Lean manufacturing environment. An Engineering background will be deemed advantageous for this role as well as being used to leading teams in excess of 100.

Manufacturing Manager responsibilities:

Provide leadership, direction and support to the site..
Development of the annual manufacturing strategy.
Set objectives and monitor for the manufacturing teams ensuring these are
communicated and understood.
Ensure that every team member has a clear defined understanding of their role within the team.
Review the performance of all key members of the team and regularly set SMART objectives and targets.
Develop appropriate training plans ensuring monthly reviews with the Shift Managers.
Make sure formal and informal communication channels are used effectively focusing on visual impact.
Ensure all company procedures are applied fairly and consistently.
Develop the annual H&S plan for areas of responsibility, setting clear targets and objectives for
the teams.
Budgetary control of direct costs together with departmental indirect cost, including Capital spend budget.
Develop a strong safety culture focusing on behavioural safety.
Identify and rectify the root causes of all incidents in a timely manner.
Reduce energy costs across the business
Develop a strong continuous improvement culture within the business.
Establish and maintain the KPI system ensuring the information generated is accurate.
Ensure daily focus on KPI performance through the daily line meetings, ensuring that trend analysis is carried out on key objectives.
Ensure that waste, labour material standards and energy efficiencies are adhered to by the team, and continue to seek to improve these standards.
Implement improvement strategies for machinery utilisation and monitor effectiveness of these strategies on a weekly basis.
Ensure time is allocated for asset care and utilised.

You will be an experience Manufacturing Manager with a proven track record in a High speed manufacturing environment with strong leadership with ability to engage and enthuse an experienced management team, ability to drive culture changes and embed new processes.
