Their success is well documented and they are now enjoying rapid growth in central Europe so they are shaping their group technical team to support their complex and expanding supply chain and as a result we’re looking for a passionate and diligent Microbiologist to help keep our clients drinks tasty, safe & legal.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving technical community, ensuring our client maintain consistently high standards for their products. In this new role you’ll have direct responsibility for defining & managing the food safety and microbiological standards of the product range leading core technical activities such as complaint & microbiology data analysis and investigation, managing relevant day to day technical food safety issues, validating new ingredients & processes and following up on non-conformances. At times you’ll have a consultative role on projects or issues requiring microbiological input across operational, fruit and product development.
To be suitable we’re looking for someone with a microbiology or food science/technology degree and sound microbiology experience in food & drink technical roles. You’ll need to demonstrate excellent experience and knowledge of HACCP, food safety investigations, legal compliance and quality management systems. You’ll be as comfortable navigating food factories as a micro laboratory and display great knowledge of microbiological risks and relevant hurdles that can exist in a food & drink supply chains. This role will involve some international travel so you will need a full driving license and to be comfortable driving in mainland Europe as well as travelling further afield to support the ingredients technical teams.
