Our client supplies high profile retail customers with premium food products. Due to site growth a new role has arisen for a Production Planner to join their team.

The role:

- Reporting to the Planning Manager you will have day to day responsibility for production planning in a growing area of the factory that manufactures multi-component products and a high number of sku`s across fast paced chilled production lines. 
- You will be responsible for producing daily plans, schedules and forward forecasts whilst ensuring customer service levels are met and exceeded and also play a key role in continuous improvement and waste reduction programmes on site.
- You`ll play a key role in mentoring the team and supporting with day to day challenges.

Your experience:

- You should have production planning experience gained within a food manufacturing environment and be able to show how you have improved processes and delivery in your current role. 
- Previous experience of using an MRP system would be advantageous and you must have a good working knowledge of Excel. 
- Excellent influencing skills are a must as is the ability to build excellent relationships with production is essential. Career opportunities exist both on a site and group wide basis.
