The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. The role promotes and sells established and innovative products and service solutions as well as looks for new product opportunities. You will manage every aspect of the sales cycle, play a key role in the successful achievement of all strategic aims of the unit, consistently meet agreed sales and gross margin targets, manage, develop and maintain sales plans, ensure high customer satisfaction and long term relationships, identify customer requirements and match the appropriate service plus report regularly on sales activities and opportunities and review progress against forecast and budget.
You will possess at least 5 years’ of business to business sales experience within the food industry sector and can demonstrate a good knowledge of customers, markets, products, suppliers and competitors. A degree in a food nutrition discipline or similar is highly desirable. This position requires a success-driven, motivated, entrepreneurial and goal-oriented individual who can build strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients. You will be commercially astute and able to identify new business opportunities with the drive to push them through to fruition.
The Technical Sales Manager job is a field based position where you will regularly travel to various customer locations throughout the UK, therefore the ability to travel regularly and a full UK driving licence is essential.
The role is paying £43,000 - £48,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus company car / car allowance and bonus.
