The company

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the fastest growing and entrepreneurial blue chip companies in the UK. Your role will be based at a brand new state of the art production and manufacturing site which has been purpose built to meet the growing needs of the business.

The job

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the site quality & environmental systems ensuring continuing certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.  In addition, the QA Officer will carry out microbiological testing, internal audits, maintain the HACCP system, conduct product complaint investigations and liaise with external auditors and suppliers. You will also provide technical support to Production Team Leaders on product quality. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference within the site in terms of quality standards and be able to translate this throughout the production teams.

Your experience

You will have experience from a similar high paced quality or technical role within food manufacturing and can demonstrate a good understanding of BRC, HACCP, food safety and hygiene. You will also be educated to a minimum of HND level in a food science, microbiology or chemistry discipline. Proven knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001 quality standard and ISO 14001 environmental standard is also required.

The QA Officer job is based in the Home Counties / Midlands region and is paying £26,000 plus 24% shift allowance plus excellent benefits including company pension, 25 days annual leave, life assurance, childcare vouchers and share scheme. The shift pattern will be a rotation of early, late and night shifts.
