As Engineering Shift Technician, the purpose of your role is to conduct PPM, breakdown activities and continuous improvement activities on shift plus help deliver world class service in regard to filling machine or process plant availability and efficiency. You will ensure all equipment in maintained to the highest standard and optimised to deliver site efficiency targets, assist to drive consistent equipment performance, identify gaps/efficiencies in PM schedules, full utilisation to SAP system to capture all planned and reactive activities plus attend minor stops and breakdowns to ensure equipment returned to operation in a safely and in a timely manner.
You will possess solid experience of working in a maintenance/engineering or similar role from a manufacturing environment – ideally FMCG or food manufacturing. You will have sound knowledge of filling and process technology with PLC experience plus demonstrable knowledge of complex fast moving clean environments. You will also possess high attention to detail, good problem solving skills and have a proactive approach. Engineering and maintenance related qualifications are highly desirable including ONC/HNC and IOSH.
The Engineering Shift Technician job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying c. £41,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including 5% annual bonus, private medical care, 4x life insurance and up to 9% pension contribution.
The working hours are 4 on, 4 off, rotating days and nights.
