The job

The business is looking to recruit a talented and experienced Site Hygiene Manager to complement and lead an existing passionate and enthusiastic team.

As the strategic lead for the Hygiene department, your role will directly contribute to this vision through the effective management and development of the site hygiene function. This will include the development of the site hygiene strategy to ensure compliance with multiple customer codes of practice, identification and delivery of solutions for continuous business improvement, identification and bridging of training and development gaps across the hygiene function, management and control of departmental budget plus the effective management of all hygiene employees, across both day and night shifts, to complete required workload and drive forward departmental policies and procedures.

Your experience

To be considered for the Site Hygiene Manager role, you will possess considerable strategic experience in managing hygiene and pest control in a food manufacturing environment. An experienced people manager, you will also have excellent working knowledge of food industry working practices i.e. BRC, SMETA, corrective action closure and internal auditing. A degree in either a relevant hygiene or People Management qualification is highly beneficial and other relevant qualifications including NEBOSH is a distinct advantage.

The Site Hygiene Manager job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including company pension, 33 days holiday, childcare vouchers and staff discount scheme.

You will have flexibility to cover a 24/7 working pattern and the hours will be predominantly lates/nights due to plant and fabric cleaning schedule.
