You will be working for a manufacturer of high quality products supplied to major retailers in the UK and also to international markets.
As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance throughout the site. You will carry out electrical fault finding and rectification, responsible for after clean down safety and fit to run checks, respond to machinery breakdowns/issues as and when the occur, liaising with suppliers over diagnosing faults, ordering or sourcing replacement parts, carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing of equipment, ensure and maintain a stock of essential parts (i.e. grub screws, fuses) and suggesting and or designing modifications to improve efficiency of production with health and safety and food safety in mind at all times.
To be considered for the Maintenance Engineer role, you will preferably hold engineering C&G / HND qualifications and have solid experience of working with varied machinery, ideally within food manufacturing. You will have electrical engineering experience and a good knowledge of H&S principles, together with good practical and technical skills. To succeed you will possess the ability to work under pressure, an adaptable work approach and excellent problem solving and time management skills. A HACCP qualification is also highly desirable.
The Maintenance Engineer job is based in the South East / South Coast region and is paying a highly competitive according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
