SENIOR MANAGER - EUROPEAN CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT, AARHUS
If developing commercial category strategies is a cutting-edge competence of yours, and your ambitions are far-reaching, you could be one of our two new Senior Category Managers for European Category Development in the European Commercial Operations team in Aarhus. We are now looking for two international marketing and category management experts with proven track records of delivering category and brand growth in Europe. We have two newly established positions where you will play a key role in developing our commercial category strategies. One position will focus on our Milk business and the other on our Yogurt & Cooking business on a European level, and drive a number of pan-European initiatives to deliver our growth ambitions on Milk and Yogurt & Cooking.
Create profitable growth in a tough market
Our milk and yogurt business and brands are highly local, but in an ever increasing global world, we see increasing similarities in the needs of our consumers across the European markets. As a member of our team you will be responsible for identifying and leveraging cross market opportunities and driving the roll-out of successful initiatives across our European markets. Examples of this could be roll out of proven concepts such as Arla Skyr or Arla Protein to new markets. In other words, you will be driving our “share & steal” agenda to harvest synergies between the UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands. You will be working closely with our local and global category teams and you will be responsible for achieving our ambitious European growth targets. You will work to strengthen our branded business, as well as developing strong offerings for our retail brand partners and a retail brand strategy for the category.
Intense marketing and category strategy expertise
Your CV shows a successful track record of minimum 5-7 years in FMCG marketing and/or category management roles, and a degree in international business, marketing or similar. We expect you to have a solid understanding of the European retail business.
You are an excellent project manager who knows how to operate in an international market with many stakeholders. Your commercial understanding and performance orientation is strong, and you know exactly how to use your influencing and motivating skills to get your message through to your stakeholders. In this position you will also need excellent communication skills in English. You are exceedingly strategic and analytical and focused on delivering strong financial results - and also willing to go the extra mile to gain success. As you will assume a truly international role in a fast moving, international environment, you must be able to travel approximately 50 days annually.
