Payroll Officer, Norwich
A growing food manufacturing company is looking to add a Payroll Officer to its head office team.
This vacancy would be an excellent opportunity for someone to join a well-established and successful business in the food manufacturing sector. It is a fast-paced environment with a fluctuating workforce and the role of Payroll Officer will help to keep on top of the projected costs associated with different manufacturing levels.
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will help to ensure monthly payroll is complete for all employees, utilising real time information and resolve any queries. You will create and post the month end journal, temp accruals, analyse payroll across cost centres and check any variances. For ongoing budgeting you will liaise with key budget holders and prepare appropriate forecasts. Other areas you will take responsibility for will include; pensions administration, year-end payroll reports, P11D submissions and ensure all legal requirements and deadlines are met for things such as NI payments and P60's. If necessary you may be asked to attend courses to keep up to date with current legislation.
For this role we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Good communication skills
- Highly numerate
- Problem-solving ability
- Great attention to detail
- Payroll experience
- Good IT skills (in particularly Excel)
- Experience with ERP accounting systems (IFS knowledge is advantageous)
