Paul Nyman Consultancy are recruiting an NPD Manager for an ambient FMCG business based in the Yorkshire area, commutable from parts of East, West, North and South Yorkshire as well as North Lincolnshire.
Forming part of a larger FMCG group, this ambient business is going through significant growth and therefore seeks an NPD Manager to join their team. Based on sound category led NPD and the ability to provide premium products with a clear point of difference, constant investment and innovation make this business a leading player in their category.
As an NPD Manager you will be leading a team of individuals and be responsible for major retailer accounts.
- Supporting the NPD team through idea generation and development of new and existing ranges
- Generating new business in existing and emerging categories through improved understanding of the specific ambient category
- Analysing costings and creating commercially viable concepts
- Supporting the Operations and Technical department with product launches
To succeed in this role you will need to have strong project management skills and experience of managing a team. It is also essential that you have customer facing experience with the one or more of the top 6 UK retailers/B2B customers as relationship management is key to this role, as is growing the category and the business through this. Your understanding of this specific category will be constantly honed through interaction with the sales and marketing team and you will work hard to build strong internal relationships with them.
