The Business

This highly successful and well recognised global food group operate across a varied portfolio of business units in the UK with a mix of grocery brands and an own label offering which make them a truly diversified group. With significant re-investment of profit in to its manufacturing capability in recent years this business unit based just outside of London is well placed to challenge the category within the retailer and take the fight to its competitors in one of the most popular categories in UK Grocery retail.

The Role

Investment does not stop in the factory, and as such the business has benefited from the up-skilling and developing of its marketing, category and commercial teams in recent years. They are now looking for someone to take-on a strategically important and major customer for the business and as a result seek someone capable of putting their reputation and capability to the test with the desire to lead a larger team as Account Controller in the next 18months.

This role will work across the Asda account. You will hold both day to day accountability for profitable growth of the customer but also have an input to the 3 year strategy along with the responsibility for developing a small team of indirect reports who operate across various internal functions to deliver for the customer.

The Person

Experience and prior training are always important but just as crucial will be your attitude, passion, intelligence, resilience and desire to be consistently pushed to progress at pace. These values will be showcased through your loyalty and commitment in previous roles. You will have longevity on your CV and have clearly shown an ability to progress internally. You will have spent your career in major Blue Chip FMCG environments. 

You will form part of a group of incredibly capable people and will have the potential to develop your career in to Marketing, Sales or International to a Controller and Director level in the next 2 to 5 years.
