The business is well known in the industry and has been successful in achieving growth.
They are recruiting for an experienced horticultural buyer with live plant experience at a premium.
This job will have control of the horticulture offering for this part of the businesses brand. The focus of the job is providing live plants in a direct to consumer model.
The buying must take into account the whole range of product available and will plan in promotions based upon multi-buys.
You will take full ownership of the products you select. Including the management of availability, quality and margin achieved.
Control offline and online digital marketing alongside brand managers to produce a consistent and robust brand identity.
Deliver growth through effective management of the category by working with marketing and operational teams.
We are seeking an experienced plant buyer with fantastic horticultural knowledge and experience purchasing for the UK consumer market.
Buying could be developed from a retail focussed background or growing experience.
There is a premium on quality and longevity of products and specific technical understanding of how to increase these variable will be of interest.
Passion is always important in horticulture and you will be a keen gardener outside of work.
You will be a commercial self starter who is driven by margin and delivering fantastic products.

Experience in edibles is advantageous.
