We are seeking a talented individual to work for an international, blue-chip company who manufacture and supply their own internationally recognised branded products into major UK retailers. Throughout the years their products have shaped fascinating markets and continually delighted consumers through quality and innovation.
Working at a state of the art manufacturing facility, as Hygiene Manager, the purpose of the role is to ensure that the entire site is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and manage housekeeping both internally and externally within the manufacturing and office facilities. You will maintain and improve the Environment Management Systems, manage the waste disposal, recycling and effluent treatment process and facilities, ensure compliance to all relevant environmental legislation plus manage all company provided work wear, PPE and factory hygiene related consumables. You will also manage the departmental budget, develop and maintain an environmental and site hygiene audit system, maximise the efficiency of all cleaning operations and train, motivate and manage the team. The business has lots of exciting expansion plans and you will play a key role in the development and consultation of such plans.
You will possess a solid track record of working in the food manufacturing industry within a technical / hygiene capacity plus preferably possess blue chip experience and a strong environmental understanding. Ideally educated to a degree level, you will have a background in hands on team management through change and improvement. You will ideally hold relevant qualifications including NEBOSH, hygienic design and environmental management.
The Hygiene Manager job is based in the North West region and is paying a highly competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including pension scheme, private healthcare, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, company events and more!
You will need to have the upmost flexibility as your role covers the night teams, so night shifts will be required on a regular basis.
