As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the direction of the technical team and implementing the company’s technical strategy incorporating legal compliance to all current legislation. You will also be responsible for the achievement and maintenance of certification against a recognised standard and the ongoing development, implementation and auditing of the QMS at the site. You will instigate all necessary training to maintain and develop the team’s competency & abilities, manage customer complaint investigations & reports, drive HACCP and ensure monthly meetings are a key part of the future business plus manage the hygiene team’s KPIs. This role presents the opportunity to be the front line technical representative for the business with customers and other external bodies.
You will be an extremely driven and passionate individual and hold a good track record of working in a technical management role within the food manufacturing industry (bakery product background highly desirable). You will preferably have experience working directly with major retailers with a sound knowledge of their requirements and standards. You will also have knowledge of QMS plus current and incoming food safety legislation. A holder of a food science / technology related degree and is also essential.
The Technical Manager job is based in the South West / South Central region and is paying £40,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
