The job

The overall aim is to create added value for the business and help to achieve sustainable competitive advantage by satisfying the demands and needs of customers which will consist of food manufacturers and also foodservice businesses. You will have overall responsibility for the sales of the business alongside the Business Development Manager. You will carefully manage the portfolio, regularly meeting customers both on and off site to discuss their individual requirements and work closely with the NPD team to ensure products meet the required brief. You will maintain an awareness of competitor products and market trends to translate this into an actionable business strategy plus develop creative solutions to achieving mutual agreement, while actively managing the impact on the company.

Your experience

To be considered for the Commercial Development Manager job, you will be an innovative and focussed individual with a strong passion for food and product development. You will be a trained Chef or equivalent with a strong business acumen in order to speak with the customers on their level and fully understand their needs. You will also have confident communication and presentation skills with the ability to converse at all levels of business.

The Commercial Development Manager job is based in the Midlands region and is paying c. £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
