The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Bristol. In the role of QA Manager you will lead the QA team to verify that raw material preparation, manufacturing production and product storage comply with food safety, specification and quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with your team, you'll ensure they have the necessary training in place at all times to ensure that they adhere to the correct technical standards at all times, supporting the team to adopt any new processes and procedures to the required level to ensure total compliance.

As QA Manager, you will complete audits and KPI's to monitor the consistency of outputs across the team for compliance purposes, with a focus on promoting safe working environment at all times. You will also be required to investigate customer complaints and any non-conformance raised internally or externally, providing feedback to inform resolution.

A key focus of your role will be the management of your team. You will ensure that you have the correct resources in place and available to guarantee cover across a range of shift patterns. You will understand the value of great communication and make sure your team are fully briefed at all times to ensure they are clearly focused on their key objectives and as individuals, developed to maximise their potential.

Lead and deliver projects to create business effectiveness and cost efficiency.



What you'll need

Previous experience of working within Food Manufacturing is essential, so we'll be looking for you to bring with you prior experience of working within a similar role and experience of leading a team. An accreditation in food safety at level 3 and Health and safety level 2 would be extremely beneficial.

An understanding of internal audit processes, technical KPI's and non-conformance techniques will be required alongside basic allergen awareness and legal labelling practice.

You will be a natural problem solver with a strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognise patterns and use your past experience within similar roles to make logical decisions.
