Process Development Technologist
This is an exciting chance to join a leading international manufacturer of convenience foods who supply major retailers with innovative products. Our client is now seeking an experienced Process Development Technologist to help lead continuous improvement initiatives in line with business strategy.
Reporting to the Process Development Manager you’ll act as a key link between the product development kitchen and the production line. In this broad role your key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the NPD teams, you’ll be responsible for the planning and organisation of production trials.
- Compiling and managing all aspects of the critical path to ensure all products meet legislative requirements and quality standards.
- Assessing the factory processes, continuously improving the site’s capabilities and implementing changes to drive innovation and maximise productivity.
- Monitoring and communicating process trends and analysing data to guarantee projects are successfully completed in line with agreed timescales.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Process Development Technologist who has a degree in Food science or a related subject, alongside previous experience of working within food manufacturing. It is essential that you have a good understanding of legal labelling legislation as well as knowledge of customer codes of practice. You’ll have practise in managing multiple tasks and have a great eye for detail. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential as you’ll be liaising closely with internal colleagues.
