This role is working for a modern company that works closely with leading retailers and food service customers, specialising in high volume production of top quality products. With ultra-modern production lines, the business is constantly reinventing their product range to meet their customers’ needs and ever changing market trends.

The job

As Hygiene Manager, you will lead a motivated team to deliver sustainable processes that result in setting and achieving cleaning standards whilst considering impact on other departments, overall cost & efficiency, and adherence to customer codes of practice. You will ensure hygiene standards are always at a visiting standard, manage cleaning schedules, manage the pest control function, maintain and develop a highly motivated team consisting of 2 Hygiene Supervisors and 15 Hygiene Operatives, setting team standards and monitoring performance, manage and control hygiene supplies / ordering of chemicals, support continuous improvement programs relevant to your area, conduct data analysis and support of operations and hygiene cleaning activities throughout the site through regular audits, appropriate feedback, action and guidance.

Your experience

To be considered for this role, you will have good experience of managing a hygiene function within a manufacturing environment. You will have effective communication skills, be highly organised, a good standard of literacy and numeracy plus possess a proactive “can do” attitude. An understanding of engineering faults and production equipment is highly desirable.

More details

The Hygiene Manager job is based in the Yorkshire region and is paying £25,000 - £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours will be 45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday and will include some evening or night shifts according to the needs of the business.
