About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our successful Solway Foods in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.  This opportunity will offer you the chance to build upon your current experience within a fast paced state of the art food production facility.  It will allow you to play an integral part in the continued development of this site.

This is a brand new role for an experienced and suitably qualified Health and Safety professional with manufacturing experience, ideally food. You will provide Health and Safety support and advice to the night shift of approximately 600 staff.  Normal working week is Monday to Friday but flexibility to work a weekend shift when required is necessary.  The role focuses on Health & Safety auditing. Following up investigations, and carrying out risk assessments.  You will be an effective communicator, able to influence behaviours and manage incidents is essential.

You will be…

Excellent working knowledge & experience of health & safety preferably within Food or FMCG manufacturing
Minimum NEBOSH certificate required. H&S diploma or NVQ 5 is ideal.
Confidence and ability to influence behaviours.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office - Excel, Word & PowerPoint
The ideal candidate will provide direction ensuring productive relationships and be action
Orientated, have excellent team engagement and interpersonal skills
Flexible work approach on days and nights
