You will be working for a manufacturer of high quality products supplied to some of the biggest names in the foodservice industry. Part of a larger national group, they offer a wide range of products to their customers, including bespoke recipes.
As Shift Maintenance Engineer, the purpose of your role is to service and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in the factory by conducting preventive and emergency procedures. You will make scheduled checks (PPMs) on machinery and parts, find and fix faults and recalibrate instruments, oil and clean machinery and parts, overhaul and replace parts according to schedules, respond efficiently to machinery breakdowns, ensure that the factory is working at optimum efficiency by conducting daily visual checks of all equipment and communication with Operatives and also ensure that the efficiency of the plant/machinery is maximised through continuous improvement.
To be considered for the Shift Maintenance Engineer role, you will hold either mechanical or electrical C&G / HND qualifications plus have previously undertaken HASAW training. You will have good practical and technical skills with the capability to understand engineering drawings and principles. Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable, however to succeed you will possess the ability to work under pressure, an adaptable work approach and excellent problem solving and time management skills.
The Shift Maintenance Engineer job is based in the Home Counties region and is paying a highly competitive according to individual skills and previous experience (additional salary information will be disclosed upon application). The working hours are 10pm – 6am, Monday to Friday.
