The job

As Shift Production Manager, the purpose of your role is to lead, direct and manage the production activities necessary to ensure production requirements are met in full and in accordance with food safety and technical standards. You will be responsible for leading the production team and you will plan, structure and organise work in order to set relevant objectives, ensure prioritisation of critical tasks, monitor progress of production against production plans plus safely and efficiently utilise labour, machinery and materials to meet or exceed customer requirements - liaising with other shifts, departments, functions as necessary to achieve this goal.

Your experience

You will ideally possess a formal production / operational management qualification and/or have at least 2 years production management experience within the food industry, preferably with a chilled or high care product background. You will possess the ability to forge relationships, drive a strong and efficient workforce; you will also be results-orientated with a positive attitude to drive forward continuous improvement. An understanding of HACCP principles, Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate plus a UK valid driving licence are all highly desirable.

More details

The Shift Production Manager job is based in the Midlands region and is paying £30,000. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, rotating 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm with an occasional Sunday during peak times.
