If so, we'd love to hear from you as our client, based in Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Senior NPD Technologist to join their Food Manufacturing business. Supplying to Food Service and Business 2 Business, this is a great opportunity to join a fast growing organisation who are privately owned, so product quality and personal development are at the heart of what they do.
Reporting into the Head of Department, you will work in a small, but very hands on role, working to ensure that you develop new products, as well as re-engineering existing products. This will be done whilst meeting all legislation and documentation, whilst supporting an ambitious commercial team in promoting and presenting new products in a customer facing role. This really is a great opportunity in seeing your product right through from conception to launch, ensuring product specifications are met, working on factory trials as well as presenting to customers.
So what experience do you need? You will to have proven NPD experience in the food industry and ideally be qualified to degree level in a food-related discipline. You should be creative and passionate about food and be able to demonstrate an awareness of market trends. You will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and have the ability to build effective relationships with customers. A good understanding of functional ingredients and knowledge of current food legislation is also a pre-requisite of the role as well as the ability to just roll your sleeves up and get on with it. You truly are in control of your products and your own career which is a great opportunity for the right person.
And one thing to point out….when we went along to meet the company, sat in reception, in walked a gentleman who said hello and asked if you were being looked after. This turned out to be the MD! Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 plus benefits
